In Loving Memory of Kevin Adams

Members of Team Parkinson were saddened to learn of the death of Kevin Adams on Sunday, April 20th, 2008. Kevin had been battling cancer and infection in addition to his Parkinson’s disease. Although we knew him far too briefly, he inspired all of us with his incredible spirit and optimism. In spite of the limited time he had for training and preparation, he successfully ran the Los Angeles Marathon in early March and was able to raise nearly $5,000 for Team Parkinson in the process. We were all impressed with his family’s spirit at our Carbo-load dinner the night before the race, and by Kevin’s constant smile and excitement on race morning. Kevin’s wife Lisa, and their children Amanda and Ethan will be running the half-marathon in San Francisco on August 3rd in memory of their beloved husband and father.

At Kevin’s request, Team Parkinson will be accepting gifts in his honor and memory. These gifts will be dedicated to supporting research into a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
