Team Parkinson
Team Parkinson 2003 at the Los Angeles Marathon is dedicated to the memory of Daniel Marcus, whose courage and commitment inspired us all.
Team Parkinson is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinsons disease. For the past 3 years we have been an official charity of the City of Los Angeles Marathon. We have also become the first official charity of the Culver City Western Hemisphere Marathon, to be held on December 1, 2002. As Team Parkinson expands its efforts to raise money and awareness to find a cure for this devastating neurological disease, you may choose to participate in one of our established events, or use an upcoming event in your area to raise money for Team Parkinson. Team Parkinson welcomes all those who are concerned with finding a cure for Parkinsons disease: People Living with Parkinsons (PLWP), caregivers, family members and friends to join us as a participant, supporter, or volunteer.
What is Parkinson's Disease?
Parkinson's Disease is a progressive neurological disorder affecting more than a million Americans today. Currently there is no cure, but with your help there is hope.
Our Vision:
To raise money for research to find the cure for Parkinson's Disease.
Every dollar donated goes directly to funding research. As part of the money raised in our 2001 effort, Team Parkinson helped fund grants to Professor Marie-Francoise Chesselet at UCLA and Dr. Michael Jakowec at USC.
Team Parkinson is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization
