University of Virginia Researching Use of Ultrasound to Treat PD

(October 20, 2014) – University of Virginia physicians are researching the use of focused ultrasound that may help deliver drugs and other treatments to patients with movement disorders like Parkinson's disease. The pilot study found that ultrasound was effective in treating essential tremor and the researchers plan to expand their trial to include the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. Read more…
